Before I started selling at cons, I had only been to one convention. I was born in Florida, but grew up in NC. Growing up in NC as a nerd, everyone talked about Animazement and I had always wanted to go. I finally got to after I graduated in 2012 and it was an amazing experience and dream come true. So imagine my delight when I got to sell at Animazement in 2016! I had initially gotten accepted but had to turn it down because my job at the time wouldn't let me have it off. After over a year of being mistreated, I saw I had received a second chance to sell and snapped it up, leaving that job and going full time at Gamestop in the process. I had less than a month to work my butt off to have enough product.
This was my first time with my new helper and now soon to be husband Michael! He insisted we go for fancy ramen. It was my first time having fancy ramen and now it's a tradition. I was hooked after the first bowl. This was also my first con needing a hotel and staying over night. I don't normally have post con depression since it's only a matter of time before my next one, but I was feeling it after this one. It was an amazing experience. Also with an 8 foot table, it was my first time having such a big table and also my first time making this much product (in such a small span of time) but not my last time with that. You think I'd be better at planning by now. Haha.
I had several big plush with me for this con. I also may have gone overboard with the tails in the wrong direction. But I learned and whenever I had them in the future, I made sure to learn from this experience. This was absolutely the best con experience I had had at that point. The money was amazing, the people were amazing, it was huge and it was wonderful. I also enjoyed working with my partner.
When I sold the big white yeti, it was to a guy getting it for a girl he liked. I still hear from her from time to time about how much she loves the plush. She grabbed it and ran around with around it she loved it so much. So many amazing undertale fans at this con as well. No complaints about this con, but it's been running smoothly for so long that there's really not much room for error. This was also the first con where I had dumdums (a bowl of candy, lollipop type things) and they were a hit. The candy was short lived as I outgrew the need for it, but it worked out quite well!

This was the first con I had a wagon for and this wagon was a life saver! Made loading in and out INFINITELY more easier. I now own two wagons. I'll probably get more in the future. It's worth the price absolutely!
The only complaint I have is that at the end of the con, they'd play smooth jazz to get the attendees to leave. The most loud and annoying smooth jazz (it's not actually a complaint). The hours are long so the artist alley can have time before and after dealers opens to entice people. People always say that AZ has the best artists alley in comparison to dealers and it's very true!
Finish this up with some pictures of happy customers. I can't say I remembered to take as many customer photos after this, I should start back up. This con became an absolute staple for me. I've done it every year except one when I tried out Momocon. More on that later.
