Heroescon 2016

Doing a con two weeks after another con? Yes please. This con was in Charlotte and at the time I was local-ish so I returned to commuting. This was more a gamble to see if I could do more cons like this. The answer is kinda. The answer is still kinda but I apparently don't learn. Michael was back to helping me, but only on Friday and Saturday. This was the first non-anime con I was doing so I had NO idea what to expect.

Much smaller booth set up as you can see. I'm surprised honestly that I got so much done in such a short span of time. Things of note here is this is the first appearance of the jellyfish! This way of using up extra lace is what became the first manufactured plush I ever made! History in the making here. Those ugly brown lumps was a poor excuse of making tribbles. I ended up turning them into GLaDOS potatoes and they sold really well. Lessons continuously learned as it should be honestly.
The Biyomon sold day one! I was so happy about this! It had been gracing my table for four cons now and finally found a home. After this, I never had big display plush last so long. But I always try to have some big attention getting plush at every con. Because I had such decent sales for such short notice, Michael and I went to get ramen at Futo Buta which is in the top fifty ramen places in the US for good reason. If you're ever in Charlotte, do yourself a favor and eat here. You won't regret it. Michael also said something really romantic to me here. What a road it's been since that time haha.

This is also the first con where I was approached about getting manufactured. Unfortunately it was from an extremely less than reputable source, but it put that nugget into my mind.
I did well, but unfortunately I've heard this con hasn't been as kind to sellers since this time. I haven't returned because it's never worked out that I could, but as for 2016, it was a great time and sales were good. My products aren't as suited for comic cons as they are for anime and gaming. It makes sense since that's what I'm more into than comics. Charlotte is just a nice city and I'm glad there's more and more con options in the area.
